I would not call it a pretentious heavy pirate treasure chest heaped with a ton of gold bars. His second novel, African Glimpses: Three Short Stories, also received critical reviews and acclaim. It is a masterpiece of historical fiction that leaves the reader enthralled and captured in the personal story of a young correspondent. His grasp of the language is superb and his story lines far deeper than pulp fiction. The book may be a little too long, but its consistent high quality ensures that this is barely an issue.
